Vinho Verde

Leaving Porto towards Amarante, a city by the banks of Tâmega River and the stage of the Napoleonic Wars, we will begin our introduction to the region’s king wine: Vinho Verde!

The vibrant freshness, elegance and lightness, the aromatic and taste expression, with emphasis on its fruity and floral notes, are the characteristics that define and differentiate Vinho Verde.

With this experience, we will introduce you to the region’s wine, Vinho Verde. We will visit a farm in the region where you will learn the origins of the wine’s name, its history and its evolution over time accompanied by a tasting of the different wines and regional delicacies.

Afterwards, you may wish to enjoy the city of Amarante, its monuments, history and traditions at leisure before returning to Porto.

Walking tour to Serra do Marão and Amarante

The Serra do Marão region covers an extensive territory and diverse landscapes located between the borders with the Minho, Douro and Trás-os-Montes regions.
Serra do Marão, a 1419 m (4655 ft) altitude schist colossus, is the most important central orographic accident. It is a region that provides leisure and knowledge of landscape, human and environmental values.
